Trivia:
- The album is sometimes known as Detective Story in Japan.
- The group originally included bassist Kito Poncioni. He left the group to go back to his native Brazil at the very beginning of MB's run-- but not before being photographed and filmed with the group.
- The cover was shot in the Greenwich Tunnel. They grabbed the sunglasses in a cheap tourist gift shop beforehand.
- Contrary to popular belief WSAYO was released in the US, but only as a promo. The label decided not to give it a full release here.
- The exclamation "Get out your lazy bed!" came from Mark's dad waking him up in the morning when he was growing up!
- "Matt's Mood" became a surprise club hit, though it was on the b-side of various singles. It wasn't too long before it was covered, with lyrics by the Breakout Krew. "Half A Minute" was also a club sensation and summer holiday favorite at the time.
- While a face of the group, Basia was never actually signed to the record company.
- Most of the clothing was designed and made by Mark's partner, Trina Baer. Danny's MB patch jacket was given away by Smash Hits magazine in a contest.
- Basia's son, Nicholas, played the little boy in the "Whose Side Are You On" video.

Lyrics:
One empty place, at a table for two,
Our agent in Rome, A cafe rendez-vous
The seat is soon taken, contact is made,
Surveyed by another whose secret is safe
Whose side are you on?
Whose side are you on?
The courier falls, the coffee was drugged,
The waiter makes off with the microdot.
You don't have to believe to play that double cross,
Spying for the side that pays the most.
Whose side are you on?
Who's that someone on the inside, an undercover mole?
Too late to use a lie detector, now some heads will roll.
Thought that I was over you.
How I was mistaken -
Why did I bump into you,
And start this chain reaction?
I felt it building up inside
When suddenly it was more than I could bear, more than I could bear.
When I saw you walking down the road with someone new,
I couldn't believe that it was true, it was true
I find it hard to sleep at night,
This jealousy is burning bright -
Visions of somebody else
Torment me to destruction.
I think of him making, making love to you
And it's more than I can bear, more than I can bear.
When I saw you walking down the road with someone new,
I couldn't believe that it was true, it was true.
When I saw you walking down the road with someone new,
I closed my eyes, I know I'm over you, over you.
Come closer to me, drift into my melody
Don't resist my charms, when you could be in my arms.
Let your inhibitions go, let me take control,
Come closer to me, come closer to me.
Let your inhibitions go, body and soul,
Come closer to me... cha cha cha.
No no never, no no never, no no never, no no never.
Come closer to me, step into this harmony.
Don't deprive yourself to a helping of myself.
Let your inhibitions go,... etc.
Give in to, give in to - no no never, no never.
Give in to the crazy beat
What is there to say
When all the love has slipped away
In half a minute.
There is always something we can blame,
But in the end, it's just the same -
Suddenly, you find yourself alone.
Half a minute
Half a minute
What is there to say
When every dream just fades away
In half a minute.
Every explanation we can find
Will never change it, we are through -
Suddenly, you find yourself alone.
Half a minute
Half a minute
Get up, get up, get out of your lazy bed
Before I count to three, step to it, baby.
She goes out every night 'til the morning is light
And she sleeps all day.
So come on, get up, I won't say it again,
I'll drag you out.
I don't care any more, you can sleep on the floor,
'Cos I'm locking you out,
So come on, get up, I won't say it again
I'll drag you out
Get up, get up, get out of your lazy bed
Come right in and close the door,
Let me take your coat, get comfortable.
I'll go and put some music on.
Would you like a drink, cigarette?
I have to say you're very beautiful this evening,
Come over here and sit by me.
I don't know, it's getting late, I have to go
I'd like to stay but, I really have to go
The night is young, you don't have to go,
Another drink, just take it slow
And we can get to know one another.
I don't know, it's getting late, I have to go
I'd like to stay but, I really have to go.
Maybe some other time, the answer is no!
I never, I never, no no I never, I never, I never said I would.
I don't stay long when things are going wrong
I haven't got the time, you see.
Moving from place to place, another town, a different face
You may find me
Sneaking out the back door with a grin.
Love, I've had it before, it nailed me to the floor,
I prefer my own company.
Love to me is being free with no responsibility,
So you may find me
Sneaking out the back door with a grin.
Just another drink and I'll be on my way,
Sneaking out the back door with a grin.
I move along when things are going wrong,
So you may find me
Sneaking out the back door with a grin.
You see I've got this funny feeling
That all my plans and expectations
Wait somewhere for me.
I hung around this sorry town
And had my shares of ups and downs
And now it's time to leave.
Riding with the wind,
In search of just one thing,
Riding with the wind.
You see I've got this funny feeling
That you and I will be leaving
On the midnight plane,
Pack all your cares and woes
And come with me to heaven knows
And see what we can see.
