Live: Club Pigalle, London, May 5 2010
"Line up was as advertised, but we had the additional talent of Kevin Robinson, as well as Paul Booth. The drums provided by Marc made a welcome addition, and really enhanced the atmosphere compared to what we had at pizza on the park last year.
So, for the set list:
- If not now
- Reward
- Promises
- A gift
- Blame it on the summer
- Third time lucky
- Waters of march
- Astrud
- Drunk on Love
- Yearning
- (Georgios turn for a solo)
- From now on
- Baby you're mine
- Cruising for Bruising
- Miles away
- How dare you
- Half a minute
- Time and tide
- Copernicus
- Encore:
- Winners

"Checked on the see ticket and Pigalle club web site on the afternoon of the concert and they both confirmed that it was a sell out. The venue is a fairly upmarket affair (compared to Pizza On The Park) set up as a glitzy 1940's style dinner club in green and gold and fairly intimate with 150 seated and 50 standing.
"Having been to the Pigalle Club a few times before for concerts (standing only) I was glad I'd paid out the extra for the seated meal option. Great food and drinks significantly cheaper than if you paid at the bar an excellent view - and particularly better acoustics as the standing area under a balconied area from my experience was very "boomy," cramped and sweaty.
"I must say that the addition of a drummer/percussionist as well as saxophonist/flute player/keyboard player really added to the arrangements. Kevin Robinson also appeared and had flown in specially from the US for this concert. Whilst the acoustic tour last autumn was great, this performance was more similar to previous tours and the set list, whilst shorter and featuring less from the latest album did seem to flow better.
"I half expected to see an almost identical set list and running order to the autumn tour, but was pleased by the selection played.
"'Winners' seemed to really go down well with the standing up audience with a couple of Polish guys storming forward into the seated table area to clap along to the song.
"Basia was in fine voice (possibly the best I've heard her from 4 previous concerts seen) and more relaxed than the Pizza On The Park last year. Whilst a bit shorter than before and in my opinion finishing a bit suddenly (we needed another encore song - or simply come back on after "Time And Tide"?) I was longing for "I Must."--Mark Derrington
