Order It's That Girl Again signed copies! Also, tour update

This is verbatim from the official Basia mailing list (join on Basia's official site, click on the graphic at right to get you there)

Just to let you know that ‘It’s That Girl Again’ has become available by mail order. It features 15 tracks, including two bonus tracks, ‘Oh Mama’ and a new version of ‘Clear Horizon’. It costs £9.99 +P&P and the first 50 CD’s ordered will be signed by Basia.
Follow the link to order.

Also, a lot of Basia's Polish friends were asking about our providing a Polish translation to the songs on 'It's That Girl Again', so we have created a new section on our website, showing a loose Polish translation alongside the English lyrics. Go to 'New CD Lyrics' and have a look!

And finally, we are still working towards a possible October/November tour. We will let you know as soon as things get confirmed.

With Love
Basia and Danny

Flickr: Warsaw '94 screenshots, those crazy EPs

On BasiaWeb FanFotosKrysia posted tons of awesome screencaptures from the televised Sala Kongresowa show in 1994-- SO great! I especially love this one.

Now posted in BasiaWeb Collectors are multiple covers for the Best Remixes/Brave New Hope EPs released in various forms throughout the world. By no means is it complete. :)

Don't forget that you have to login via a Flickr or Yahoo account to see these for the time being. I hope this is temporary.

Flickr: UYCBTM (TWIGD), other singles

Some singles for "Until You Come Back To Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do)" which were all so similar that I wasn't satisfied so I added a couple other goodies from LWNY, including this nifty "Copernicus" single from Japan.

Flickr!

For some reason Flickr is only showing my photos to people who are logged in (using your Yahoo ID will work). Apparently I'm in line to be reviewed since I have a new account, so hopefully in a few days any old fan will be able to see the 30+ photos in the stream. I'm a total newb on that site and didn't realize there was that stipulation. :/

Flickr: Baby You're Mine!

I found a handful of other "Cruising For Bruising" singles that I missed last time, including a Japanese VCD! So check those out.

But the main attraction is "Baby You're Mine," one of the more eccentric single choices, and wow did they put a lot of singles of it out in the UK. Be sure to check out the highly collectible Valentine's Day set and (as seen here) the lovely overlay effect of another CD single.

Flickr!

If you recognize your photo, please let me know so I can give you proper credit. I have a fair idea who one of them was from, but just want to confirm before I jump to the wrong conclusion. Thanks!

Flickr: new photo?,a whole lot of "Cruising For Bruising"

Right now I'm really liking Flickr! So easy and I can do something in a snap.

User dutchmarc captured a photo from Basia's myspace which appears to be new. Is it? [EDIT: No. It's old.] I like it. She's like, "I'm just going to chill in this corner here and think." ;)

Also, I'm going to start uploading single pictures to the Flickr group by song, just because it's fun. This week I'll do LWNY singles, today: "Cruising For Bruising." Some UK singles, a couple US ones and my favorite Japanese one.

More info on the UK compilation

The UK release of Simple Pleasures has the same track listing as the US version, and the same cover apart from some different swooshy graphics action. It's also available online for a darned low price to boot (though as you can see from the sticker it is truly Priceless). Thanks to Mark D again for combing the Web for the deets on this.

Simple Pleasures best-of comp released in the UK

The oddball Basia comp Simple Pleasures was released on January 7th in the UK on the Columbia Classics label. I can't seem to find a track listing or see it for sale at the mo but if it was anything like the US release it will be completely under the radar and found at various incongruent locations as most budget back-catalogue comps are. Despair not, there is always the Super Hits comp released to all the proper fanfare a couple years ago. Thanks to Mark Derrington for the tip.
