Calypso!
Basia and Danny gave the Humboldt State College band props for their calypso "Astrud" on their site recently and the local press gives them back. Gotta love it!
If only I could get that horn hook in the original as a ringtone...

A curiosity about "Astrud" - I remember from my early teens that the instrumental from "Astrud" was used for final credits of an automotive program. There was a video from those car crash tests, slowed down and the sax and piano melody from "Astrud".
I remember I was always watching the program and was always quite excited that that melody was used for it :-)
But also for that reason I was always imagining the story of the song as something tragic (my English was still quite basic than).
This arrangement is SO much fun!
